Suddenlink adds 2 local HD channels

by Jeffrey Nukom on February 20, 2009

Cable TV provider Suddenlink has added two local high-definition channels to its lineup in Abilene and Sweetwater, TX. The channels, KXVA-Fox HD (Ch. 706) and KERA-PBS HD (Ch. 713) will now be accessible to customers who subscribe to the company’s HD tier.

“We’ve made a major investment in Abilene and Sweetwater in recent years, upgrading our systems to provide HDTV, faster high-speed Internet services and other products like digital video recorders, or DVRs,” said Suddenlink Operations Manager Jason Gebhart told AbileneBiz.

Suddenlink, based in St. Louis, MO, has approximately 1.5 million subscribers. The company was formerly known as Cebridge Connections, and is part of Cequel Communications, LLC.
