DirecTV delivers local HD to Roanoke-Lynchburg, VA

DirecTV has now expanded its local HD programming services to customers in Roanoke-Lynchburg, Virginia. The satellite TV provider now offers local HD broadcast channels in 127 markets, representing more than 89 percent of U.S. TV households.

The local HD channels include the following broadcast networks: WSET/ABC, WDBJ/CBS, WWCW/CW, WFXR/FOX, WSLS/NBC and WBRA/PBS.

If you include both standard-definition and high-definition resolution, DirecTV offers local channels in a total of 151 television markets.

DirecTV customers must have an H20 or H21 HD receiver or an HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish to get the HD programming.
