Comcast lands World Fishing Network HD

by Jeffrey Nukom on September 30, 2009

It’s a good week for those who like to watch outdoor sports in high-definition, as world Fishing Network (WFN) has made an agreement with Comcast to carry the network in both standard and high-definition.

WFN provides 24-hour coverage of fishing lifestyle programming, including 1,000 hours of original programming produced by the channel per year.  Original productions include Hookin’ Up with Mariko Izumi, WFN’s Reel Road Trip, and Getting School’d with JP DeRose.

“By offering WFN to Comcast customers, our hope is to bring the content that 60 million anglers are passionate about directly to their living rooms,” said Mark Rubinstein, president & CEO of WFN.

WFN is also available through Dish Network, Charter Communications, Verizon FiOS, and several other TV providers.
