by Jeffrey Nukom on October 12, 2009

AT&T has expanded its IPTV-based U-verse service to parts of Jackson, Mississippi. The television/voice/internet package offers at least 110 high-definition (HD) channels as well as remote DVR control from a cell phone or PC.

“Today’s launch of AT&T U-verse reflects our commitment to make the investments necessary to start bringing consumers in Jackson a new era of true video competition,” said Mayo Flynt, president, AT&T Mississippi.

U-verse’s Total Home DVR allows up to four channels to be watched at one time with Multiview, as well as DVR management from any television in the house. Media Share allows you stream music and share photos from your PC.

AT&T U-verse has various packages which combine TV, Internet and Voice. Their most popular service, AT&T U-verse TV, starts at $49 a month.
