Comcast will add Celtics on-demand content

by Jeff Chabot on November 19, 2009

boston_celtics_logo_400pxThe Boston Herald reports Comcast is adding Celtics content to its video-on-demand (VOD) library which currently includes Red Sox and Bruins content. Celtics programming will include player features, a documentary, press footage and the Celtic’s cheerleaders.

According the the Boston Herald, Comcast faces tough competition from fiber-optic TV provider Verizon, who recently started offering New England Patriots content on-demand.

Comcast’s SportsNet New England channel currently carries Celtics games in HD on channel 852 and standard-def on channel 48 (Boston area). Check the CSNNE website for more details on scheduling.
