by Jeffrey Nukom on December 14, 2009

wfn-hd-logo3World Fishing Network (WFN) has launched in hi-def on AT&T’s U-verse TV service. The new HD network is available on U-verse channel 1679, and features 24-hour fishing programming including original shows, local stories, and news.

U-verse customers must have the U-verse TV HD Premiere to receive the channel. The IPTV service from AT&T currently offers 115 HD channels nationwide.

“Fishing is one of the most popular leisure activities in many of these areas, so we are delighted that AT&T recognizes WFN as the best option to satisfy this underserved community,” said Mark Rubinstein, President of WFN.

AT&T’s U-verse TV service is currently available in 22 states and recently reached its 2 millionth subscriber.
