Shaw Direct to add V Network in HD (Canada)

V Network (V HD) has been added to the Shaw Direct lineup in Canada, where the cable provider offers French programming in both standard and high definition. The addition will allow Shaw Direct to provide more coverage of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, as well as movies and live events.

All V channels in standard and high definition will be offered as free previews throughout February.

Shaw Direct is majority owned by Shaw Communications providing broadband cable television, high-speed internet and digital phone services to customers mainly in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.
