SureWest to add 18 new HD channels in Kansas City

surewest logo Communications, serving Northern California, announced Oct. 23 it will enhance its high definition (HD) television offerings and make available at least 38 HD channels by the end of November 2007.  has a unique edge on other HD providers as it uses a fiber-optic network to distribute high definition signals.

The company’s Broadband cable subsidiary recently launched three new significant HD channels: A&E, Fox Business Channel, History Channel, bringing its current HD total to 26 with 12 more channels set to launch over the next six weeks, including highly-rated networks like

Biography, Bravo, CNN, SCI FI Channel, TBS and USA Network.
