Disney/ABC, ESPN and Time Warner Cable have finally come to a long term agreement, releasing an official press release late yesterday afternoon announcing the details. NYC area Time Warner Cable subscribers will have 25 more HD channels to choose from. The additions bring TMC’s high-definition channel count to over 150 in New York City, Mount Vernon, Hudson Valley and New Jersey markets.
It didn’t take long for other carriers to get in on the NASCAR 3D action. Two days after NASCAR announced DIRECTV would carry the Coke Zero 400 race on July 3, Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Bright House have been added to the list of carriers. The coverage will be presented in TNT’s Wide Open widescreen letterbox format free of commercial breaks. The broadcast will feature two custom 3D feeds – one from various 3D cameras set up along the track and the other capturing pit crew action.
Now Time Warner Cable subscribers in the New York City, Mount Vernon (New York) and New Jersey areas can watch outdoor sports in high-definition (HD), as the Outdoor Channel HD announced their carriage in those areas.
According to the Desert Sun, Time Warner Cable has launched six new HD channels in the Palm Springs, California area. However, the channels are only available as part of certain subscription tiers. See below to see if they have been added to your channel lineup.
Time Warner and The Nielsen Company have signed a 7-year agreement which includes Nielsen TV, internet and mobile services. The Nielsen services will be provided to Time Warner broadcast, cable, syndication units and affiliates.
