U-verse puts March Madness stats on your TV

AT&T’s U-verse TV service will add stats to your TV screen via the Yahoo! Sports application starting Monday, Mar. 15. The app will allow you to create your own bracket and get personalized scores and game summaries, just in time for the March 2010 college basketball tournament. Full Story



Verizon says they will launch MSNBC throughout the New York metropolitan area on Feb. 2, however, they will not be providing the HD simulcast which is available in 1080i. Well, the 480i feed is at least a start. Previously Verizon, along with AT&T, was in a carriage dispute with area cable provider Cablevision, preventing them from broadcasting the channel.
World Fishing Network (WFN) has launched in hi-def on AT&T’s U-verse TV service. The new HD network is available on U-verse channel 1679, and features 24-hour fishing programming including original shows, local stories, and news.
HDNet and HDNet Movies have been added to the Verizon FiOS TV video-on-demand library. The high-definition programming is free for customers who subscribe to HD service and is usually available on demand 24 hours after premiering. 
Epix channel, available through Verizon’s FiOS TV service, will run an action/adventure movie marathon this Thanksgiving, starting with the “The Indy 500: 500 Minutes of Indiana Jones,” and ending on Sunday with the world television premiere of “Cloverfield.”
Epix HD and Epix standard-definition will launch on Verizon’s FiOS TV network this Friday, Oct. 30. The Verizon-exclusive service (a deal reached in July ‘09) will also launch online, providing FiOS TV/Internet subscribers with 150 movies per month. This weekend, the network will offer a free preview and feature a two-hour Madonna concert “Sticky & Sweet: Live from Buenos Aires.”
Residents in Knoxville Tenn., now have the option of television, and voice and internet services via IPTV from AT&T’s U-verse. U-verse offers 110 high-definition channels, as well as a personalized U-bar, containing sports, weather and other dynamic content. 
Verizon’s FiOS TV service has added exclusive New England Patriots programming to its on-demand library. The programming will be available exclusively to its customers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island (FiOS is not offered in other New England states).
