Verizon announced today it is now making available 100 HD channels via its service to 108 New York neighborhoods. The company says it now offers more high-definition choices than Time Warner and Cablevision. Northborough, MA to get FiOS HD channels

The Board of Selectmen in Northborough just granted Verizon a cable franchise to start offering residents television, internet and phone services. Residents will now have a fiber-optic option for HD channels, bringing the total number of communities where TV is available to 78. Full Story »

DVR recordings leave you hanging?

The last couple games have left me hanging, due to an oversight in the DVR program recording. The problem exists when a program runs over schedule. While watching games 4 and 5 of the , with 7 or 8 minutes left, the recording would end. I’d have to wait until the midnight re-broadcast (which ends around 2 AM) or put on ESPN to find out the outcome. Full Story »
