Sony to ship entry-level notebooks with Blu-ray

Sony says it will start shipping a new entry-level notebook starting at $880 that comes enabled with Blu-ray. The VAIO NW notebook with Blu-ray Disc player (ROM) will also read/write DVD and CD. $800 will get you the notebook without BD installed. Full Story

Apple intros new MacBooks, but no Blu-ray

Just yesterday I was asking my friend why Apple came out with these fancy new MacBooks but with no option for Blu-ray Disc integration. Isn’t Blu-ray the disc of the future? With each disc capable of holding 25GB of data you’d think Apple would be on this already. Full Story

Dell with Blu-ray drive under $1000

The recent promotion from Dell is the latest from the PC manufacturer who seems eager to put high def capabilities in the hands of PC users. While Dell appears to offer Blu-ray disc drives on any of its laptops, the Inspiron 1525, if configured correctly, can be your for under $1000.
