New Apple TV features

Apple has released a new, smaller Apple TV box geared toward streaming movies and TV shows. The resolution tops out at 720p (unfortunately) but highlights include Netflix streaming, 802.11n Wi-Fi, H.264 and MPEG-4 video support, and a footprint that is 80-percent smaller than the last Apple TV box. Seagate 3TB hard-drive will hold 120 HD movies

Building up your digital HD movie library? You might want to invest in Seagate’s newest external hard-drive which holds up to 3 Terabytes (TB) of data. The first of its kind on the market, the 3TB “FreeAgent GoFlex Desk” hard-drive will store about 120 HD movies, 1,500 video games, or thousands of photos and mp3s. The “GoFlex Desk” (a bit of a tongue twister) is the newest addition to the “GoFlex” product line which already includes 1TB and 2TB models. Full Story

LaCie reveals new HD multimedia drives

LaCie revealed a pair of HD multimedia players this week that are soon to hit the market. The LaCie LaCinema Black PLAY and LaCinema Black RECORD have a maximum video output resolution of 1920 x 1080p and support a slew of video formats and codecs. Full Story
