The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report will go hi-def starting Jan. 4, according Multichannel News. Cablevision announced the addition of Comedy Central HD today to their lineup. The company now offers 69 HD channels at no additional charge with their iO TV service. As well as the 69 high-definition channels, the company offers HD VOD titles at $4.95. That’s a dollar cheaper than most competitors. Full Story
ComedyNet announced it is in discussions about launching a full-time HD channel. The young company based in New York City expects to be in over 25 million homes by the end of 2008, and to offer their already 300 hours of programming in high-definition. Full Story
HDNet will premiere a new comedy series about a fictional indie rock band called “The All-For-Nots”. Michael Eisner is one of the producers of this series, which will be aired in high definition this coming Sunday, March 9, at 7:45 p.m. ET.
