This news hitting the wires today NBC has announced it will cancel “Law & Order” after 20 years of episodes. The long-running drama will finally come to end — its termination possibly having to do with “sagging ratings and creative fatigue,” writes the DailyNews.
Season 4 of Friday Night Lights will premiere tonight, May 7 on NBC. Although the series already had its run on DirecTV, this will be the first time the episodes will be seen on NBC who partners with DirecTV in producing the show. Like Season 3, Season 4 of FNL consists of 13 episodes.
Epix has partnered with producer/writer/director Oliver Stone and writer Bruce Wagner to develop a new dramatic series titled “Still Holding.” The show will be based on Wagner’s novel, exploring the lives for three disparate characters in Los Angeles and “the violent consequences of love and betrayal.”
Even if you don’t subscribe to HBO you’ve probably seen commercials for the upcoming series The Pacific from the makers of the Band of Brothers. The Pacific, honing the tagline “Hell was an ocean away,” is a story that follows the journeys of three U.S. Marines – Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge and John Basilone — as they engage the Japanese following the attack of Pearl Harbor in WWII.

Friday Night Lights Season 3 will debut tonight on NBC in HD. But the new season will not be without any spoilers, as the show has already aired last Fall on DirecTV. So while the show’s third season will have its second premiere, it has a chance to build a bigger audience who didn’t catch it via satellite.
