For a limited time StarWars.com will stream a 5-part Clone Wars Season Two series that chronicles the Republic efforts to retake Geonosis from Poggle the Lesser and the Separatists. Star Wars marathon to simulcast Empire Strikes Back in Times Square

This Saturday, May 22, Spike TV will celebrate 30 years since the release of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back by airing a three-movie marathon starting at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time with Episode IV A New Hope. If you haven’t caught the original Star Wars films in widescreen HD yet, this is a great time to see them all in sequence. Full Story

‘V’ returns tonight on ABC

ABC’s drama “V” will return tonight (Mar. 30) after a successful November ‘09 run. In the premiere episode titled “Welcome to the War” Erica is attacked in her home, the Resistance recruits a dangerous new member, and Ryan’s concern over Val’s abnormal pregnancy grows. “V” will follow “LOST” at 10:00 p.m. ET (9:00 Central) and is available in 720p HD on ABC. Lost enters sixth and final season

This Tuesday, Feb. 2, the first two episodes of the final season of Lost will premiere. The ABC show, which started in 2004, will continue the story of the fictional crash of Flight 815 and promises a shocking finale this year. “We felt that this was the only way to give Lost a proper creative conclusion,” said ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson. Syfy’s Caprica broadcast debut

However, the premiere pilot (to be presented with limited commercials) won’t exactly be debuting unseen, as it has already been available on Hulu, Syfy.com, and other on-demand outlets. Full Story

‘Star Wars Clone Wars’ Season 2 in HD premieres tomorrow night

BBC America HD to celebrate launch with week of sci-fi

BBC Worldwide has announced it will launch BBC AMERICA HD on July 20th with a week of sci-fi programming. Torchwood, Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead, Being Human and the season finale of Primeval (Season 3) are all scheduled for airing that week. Full Story

‘The Clone Wars’ episode 11 to premiere Jan. 2

The newest Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be airing Friday, Jan. 2 at 9 p.m. on Cartoon Network. The first episode of the new season “Dooku Captured,” will air in both standard and high definition (HD). “Dooku Captured” will follow an attempt by Anakin and Obi-Wan to kidnap Count Dooku. In the process, the Jedi’s discover that the Sith Lord has already been captured by pirates. Full Story

Spike to run ‘Star Wars’ in HD on Tuesdays

“Star Wars” in HD starts tonight

Spike TV will begin the HD broadcast of the “Star Wars” tonight with “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The network will be showing the six-part “Star Wars” series in its entirety, in high definition, along with encore presentations usually the following day. The series will end on April 13th with “Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi”.
