U-verse on-screen account app launched

AT&T has launched a new app which allows you to control your account right from your TV screen. The app, called “U-verse Account Manager,” will allow you to add channels, view channel lineups, compare packages, and view account information. The account manager is located on U-verse Channel 9910. Full Story

U-verse multi-view app makes Cubs fans directors

A new AT&T U-verse app lets Chicago Cubs fans choose from 7 different WGN-TV Chicago angles as your main picture, and up to four different cameras placed at home plate, third base, first base and center field at one time. AT&T fighting for MSG HD, MSG Plus HD

AT&T has re-filed it’s complaint against Madison Square Garden (MSG) and Cablevision over rights to high-definition (HD) feeds from the regional sports networks. AT&T contacted MSG about the feeds to MSG HD and MSG Plus HD after an FCC ruling said “denying access to terrestrial nets is presumptively unfair and deceptive, and treats HD nets as separate services from the standard-definion feed.” Full Story

U-verse gets Tennis Channel HD

AT&T’s U-verse TV service now offers Tennis Channel in standard and high-definition. The network, which launches in time for Wimbledon, can be found on channels 660 (standard-definition) and 1660 (high-definition) for customers with the AT&T U450 service package. AT&T says they offer 3,500 hours of HD content throughout the year. Full Story

3D hype week, FIFA, and more

This past week was full of hype about emerging 3D technology as ESPN launched its ESPN 3D network last Friday with the opening of the 2010 FIFA World Cup match between South Africa and Mexico. But, not everyone will be able to view the 25 planned matches in 3D. According to CEA less than 1-million households are actually capable of viewing the three-dimensional broadcasts. Not only do you need a 3D TV but you also need a service provider who will be broadcasting the matches – DirecTV and Comcast announced carriage early on, while AT&T announced they would carry ESPN 3D just a few days before the launch on Friday. AT&T to carry FIFA World Cup in 3D

AT&T has become the next network to offer the FIFA World Cup in 3D, announcing a deal with sports network ESPN. The IPTV provider will provide 25 of the matches from South Africa in 3D on ESPN 3D, and close to 100 live events in 3D in the next year. Full Story

AT&T’s U-verse adds new HD channels nationwide

AT&T has added four new HD channels to its U-verse service nationwide. HLN HD, Discovery Kids HD, truTV HD and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) HD are now part of the high-definition lineup which AT&T says now exceeds 130 channels. Full Story

U-verse puts March Madness stats on your TV

MSNBC HD added to U-verse Connecticut

AT&T adds more HD channels nationwide to its U-verse IPTV service

att u-verseSubscribers to AT&T’s U-verse TV service got an additional 5 HD channels today, bringing the number of high-definition channels from the service to at least 115 in every U.S. market. World Fishing Network launched in hi-def on U-verse TV

AT&T expands IPTV service to Jackson, MS
