Epix launching online HD viewing

Epix is launching widespread online viewing of content for Cox and Mediacom customers on EpixHD.com. The service provides Epix subscribers with a full lineup of movies via the website, including over 150 HD and SD movies per month. In July, the company plans on launching the service for Charter Communications subscribers. Full Story

Cox adds new HD channels in Virginia

Cox has added some new HD channels in its Virginia markets today, including the launch of Epix HD and Vutopia across all markets. In addition to those two channels Cox launched two new HD channels in Roanoke and Hampton Roads and three new HD channels in Northern Virginia. Full Story

cox_logo_137x137Cox Communications will start rolling out Epix HD and on-demand channel “Vutopia” to its markets on April 1. Epix HD is a premium movie channel from Viacom Inc., Paramount Pictures, MGM and Lionsgate. The channel is normally offered for $9.99 per month. Full Story

Cox to provide all Olympic coverage in HD

2010_winter_olympics_vancouver_logoFor the first time Cox Communications will provide all its Winter Olympics coverage, approximately 835 hours of it, in high-definition. Cox says it is also providing the content online and On Demand, at no additional cost to subscribers. For online distribution, the Cox/NBC Universal agreement includes 1,000+ hours of digital content which will be available to customers with at least Expanded Basic service. Full Story

Cox adds NBC to HD on-demand lineup

nbc-logo-300x300Cable network Cox Communications added NBC content to their HD on-demand library, giving subscribers access to shows such as The Office, 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live. The content is part of their MyPrimetime lineup of shows, (found on Channel 1), available in high-definition the day after they premiere. Full Story
