Indy Tolkien film ‘Born of Hope’ to debut online

born_of_hope_trollIndependent film “Born of Hope” is a 70-minute independent film inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings books. The film pre-dates Lord of the Rings and tells the story of Aragorn’s parents, Arathorn and Gilraen. Dailymotion will broadcast the film in HD starting Dec. 1. Full Story

Dailymotion adds support for video format Ogg

Online video provider Dailymotion added support for the open video format Ogg, and will soon have 300,000 videos encoded with the format. The company is adding support for the new video HTML tag which will be available with the beta release of Firefox 3.5. Full Story
