Did you have plans for March of next year? I hope you weren’t getting married or anything because Sqaure Enix just announced that Final Fantasy XIII will drop on March 9th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I’m sure your fiancee will gladly delay the wedding. Let us know if saying “baby, you know I love you” still works after you’re two weeks deep in the Final Fantasy XIII storyline. Full Story
The Blu-ray Disc version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is set for release in Japan this Thursday. That fact, however, has not stopped small leaks of information from being released about the FFXIII demo included on the disc. The biggest news so far is that Square-Enix has confirmed a ‘Winter 2009’ release for the full game. Now, most likely, this pertains only to the Japanese release. But the good news is the earlier the Japanese release, the earlier we see it here in North America. Full Story
Because of all the rumors of release dates appearing on the Internet, Square Enix’s official website issued a statement reminding consumers that any “confirmed release dates” reported by sources other than Square Enix are “erroneous and should be disregarded”. During Microsoft’s media briefing at the 2008 E3, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII would be released first in Japan on PlayStation 3 in 2009, then released in North America and Europe on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
