Mafia II now shipping for PS3, Xbox and Windows

Published by 2K games, Mafia II is now available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PCs. The third-person action/shooter game was announced in August 2008, and is a sequel to Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. Mafia II was developed by 2K Czech, previously known as Illusion Softworks. Full Story

I’ve spent the last few days trying out the service, forming impressions on whether this really is as revolutionary as the company says it is.

Medal of Honor Frontline remastered in HD

Medal of Honor FrontlineOriginally released in 2002, Electronic Arts’ Medal of Honor Frontline will be available in a special edition of Medal of Honor (2010) exclusive to the PS3. This will be the first time ‘Frontine’ will be available for Playstation 3, which released as the fourth installment of the Medal of Honor franchise. EA says the exclusive edition has been re-mastered in HD with improved graphics and all the “heart-wrenching battles” of the original. Full Story

Best Buy to take in-store video game trade-ins

Late this summer, gamers will be able to bring their previously owned games into Best Buy stores and trade them immediately for gift cards. Currently, Best Buy only takes in-store trade-ins on iPods, Apple and PC laptops, and mobile phones. They do, however, already take video game trade-ins by mail. Full Story

Red Faction: Armageddon Debuts

Just days after the one year anniversary of the release of the well-received Red Faction: Guerilla, THQ has announced its sequel, Red Faction: Armageddon. Taking place fifty years after the events of Guerilla, the game casts players in the role of Darius Mason, grandson of the previous game’s protagonist, who lives in an underground network of mines after the surface of Mars has been rendered unlivable. Fable 3 Coming to Games For Windows, 360 Version Gets Limited Edition

When the box art for Fable III leaked online last week, gamers quickly noticed the “Only on Xbox 360 & Windows” stamp that apparently revealed the PC version of the game before its official debut. Microsoft confirmed the release today, in addition to announcing a 360-exclusive Limited Collector’s Edition. Full Story

Steam For Mac Brings A Gaming Treasure Trove To Apple Users

Last week, Valve launched the Mac version of Steam, their popular content distribution platform. Since its launch in 2003, Steam has allowed users to instantly purchase and download games in an easily organized and updated system. While Steam for Mac does not offer all the games the Windows version does, there are over seventy available now, with new titles being added weekly to the service. Any games developed by Valve will, from now, be released simultaneously on Mac and PC. Full Story

Dead Rising 2 scheduled for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC

Dead Rising was one of the Xbox 360’s most original and exciting games when it was its released back in 2006. The game featured a Dawn of the Dead style story where photographer Frank West was forced to fight his way through an always-advancing zombie attack. Thankfully, he had plenty of weapons to help him out, ranging from baseball bats to cash registers and golf clubs. The game’s sequel, Dead Rising 2, is heavily anticipated, and news has come out that the game’s story mode will feature cooperative play. Full Story

GTA: Episodes from Liberty City released for PS3 and PC

Today marks the release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for the Playstation 3 and PC. The compilation includes both The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, the two DLC packs that were timed-exclusives for the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV last year. Full Story

Valve officially announces Steam for Mac

Moments ago Valve made the official announcement that, indeed, Steam will be coming to Mac OS X this April. The Mac client will include every game available to the PC service including Valve’s Half-life, Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress series. Full Story

Valve seems to confirm move to Mac OS X

Serious Sam: The First Encounter captures the pure joy of shooting crazy enemies with crazy weapons with your crazy friends watching your back.
