Dead Rising 2 Gets Full-Blown Prequel On Xbox Live Arcade With Dead Rising 2: Case Zero

“Dead Rising 2″ is one of the most anticipated games of the summer, so gamers should be happy to hear that they’ll be getting a prequel to the game before it’s released in the Xbox Live Arcade title “Dead Rising 2: Case Zero.”

Case Zero takes place two years after Dead Rising and three years before its sequel. Gamers play as Chuck Greene, the sequel’s protagonist, as he explores the small town of Still Creek, an environment completely different than the Las Vegas-like setting of Dead Rising 2. Greene, an ex-motocross rider, must traverse Still Creek in search of parts for his broken motorbike so that he may escape the town with his daughter. Full Story

First round of ‘Red Dead Redemption’ DLC arrives June 22nd for free

Rumor: Xbox 360 to support Hulu

‘Alan Wake’ live-action prequel to hit Xbox Live on April 25th

If the wait for the release of Remedy Interactive’s Alan Wake is becoming too much to handle, don’t worry; Microsoft has heard your resonating cries of anguish and is offering up a live-action prequel to quell the anxiety. Halo 3 now on Xbox Live for $30

For those that missed it the first time around, Halo 3 continues the adventures of Master Chief and is the conclusion to a story first started in Halo and Halo 2. New info on L4D2’s The Passing

One of Valve’s head writers recently appeared on GameTrailers TV to explain a little bit about Left 4 Dead 2’s upcoming DLC, “The Passing”. Chet Faliszek explained how “the passing” not only refers to the crossing of paths with the original Left 4 Dead cast, it also means that one of those characters has literally passed on. Full Story

The week in HD gaming — a wrap up

I haven’t picked up Assassin’s Creed 2 yet as I’ve been too busying assassinating zombies in Left 4 Dead 2. I’m pretty confident that bashing zombies with a variety of melee weapons will keep me entertained for a shocking amount of time.
