SureWest, after acquiring the Kansas City-based broadband provider Everest Broadband back in February, is adding a total of 18 new HD (high-definition) channels in the Kansas City region over the next 30 days.

“This is an exciting time for our company and for residents served by our Kansas City area operations,” said Steve Oldham, SureWest president and CEO. He added, “Demand is extremely high for Everest services and we hope to build on their proud legacy in Kansas City.”

SureWest Communications is a television service provider headquartered in Northern California. The company expanded into the Kansas City region in February 2008 and offers IP-based digital and high-definition television, high-speed Internet, VoIP, and local and long distance telephone services.
