‘LOST’ first and second season out on Blu-ray

ABC and Buena Vista Home Entertainment have released the first two seasons of “LOST” on Blu-ray Disc today. Both 7-disc sets are 1080p resolution with a widescreen aspect ration of 1.78:1. Audio on both releases is in encoded DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1.

‘Season 1′ contains the full 25 episodes of the hit ABC television show which started in Sept. 2004. ‘Season 2′ contains all 24 episodes which aired from Sept. ‘05 to May ‘06. Both seasons were previously released as DVD box sets.

Total runtime for the box set of Lost: The Complete First Season is 1,068 minutes, while Lost: The Complete Second Season runs 1,010 minutes.

Features of the ‘First Season’ include audio commentaries, documentaries “The Departure” (106 minutes), “Lost on Location” (44 minutes) and 56 minutes of deleted scenes, bloopers and other footage.

Features of the ‘Second Season’ include audio commentaries, documentary “Fire + Water” (32 minutes), featurette “Lost On Location” (45 minutes), and 23 minutes of deleted scenes and flashbacks. Other material included in the extras include bloopers and cast member’s own theories on what is happening on the island.

Both “LOST” Blu-ray boxsets hit the streets today and are available at Amazon.com and other retailers.
