Samsung HDTV pricebuster alert

by Jeb Stuart on July 1, 2009

Amazon has special pricing on two of its Samsung LNB550 series HDTVs which feature the “Red Touch of Color” design. The Samsung LN40B550 40-inch and LN52B550 52-inch LCD HDTVs are currently priced at $899 and $1,599 respectively, special pricing you will only see once the item is “added to cart.”

The regular prices of the LN40B550 and LN52B550 are $1,099 and $1,999. On the 40-inch you get $200 off the list and on the 52-inch you save $400.

Both Samsung models are 1080p resolution with a nice 70,000:1 contrast ratio and 6ms response time. Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology enables more vivid colors. Service includes 4 HDMI connections as well as 2 component, USB, PC and digital audio output.

The “Red Touch of Color” bevel design adds a hint of red translucent color around the edges (see photo below). Both models are also Energy Star compliant.

These are no old clearance items either. Both models were first introduced on Amazon.com in March ‘09 and are available from the Amazon warehouse. Samsung also offers the LNB550 series in 32-inch, 37-inch, and 46-inch sizes. Here is a full list of the Samsung models.
