Cox adding 27 HD Channels in Phoenix Valley

by Jeffrey Nukom on July 7, 2009

Cox Communications is adding 27 new HD channels in the Phoenix Valley area, the Phoenix Business Journal reports. The additions will take place through next month, and will include Fox News HD, Nickelodeon HD, Disney Channel HD, and MLB Network HD as well as pay channels Encore HD and HBO2 HD.

“The No. 1 request from our customers is more HD options, so in response we are happy to launch this great lineup of unique channels in high definition,” said Ivan Johnson, VP communications and televideo for Cox Arizona.

Cox is expected to have 70 high-definition channels in their lineup by the end of the summer. The cable company recently added nine new HD channels in Orange County, CA.
