Cox adding 24 HD channels in James City County

Cox Communications says it will be adding 24 additional high-definition channels to its James City County in Northern Virginia. Customers who have the standard-definition channels in their lineup will also get the HD (high-definition) versions.

Cox also announced this week they will be giving customers who subscribe to high speed internet free access to ESPN 360. The online network brings live coverage of over 3,500 sports events.

Around the 27th of October, Cox will launch the 24 new high-definition channels which include:

  • ABC Family HD (Ch. 719)
  • BET HD (Ch. 736)
  • Bravo HD (Ch. 761)
  • Cartoon Network HD (Ch. 717)
  • CMT HD (Ch. 733)
  • CNBC HD (Ch. 725)
  • Comedy Central HD (Ch. 732)
  • Disney HD (Ch. 738)
  • E! HD (Ch. 741)
  • Fox News Ch. HD (Ch. 764)
  • FX HD (Ch. 716)
  • Hallmark Movie Ch. HD (Ch. 859)
  • HBO2 HD (Ch. 784)
  • Lifetime Network HD (Ch. 709)
  • MTV HD (Ch. 722)
  • Nickelodeon HD (Ch. 729)
  • Planet Green HD (Ch. 813)
  • Science Ch. HD (Ch. 760)
  • Syfy HD (Ch. 740)
  • Speed Ch. HD (Ch. 763)
  • Spike HD (Ch. 756)
  • USA HD (Ch. 718)
  • Versus HD (Ch. 734)
  • VH1 HD (Ch. 767)
