FiOS adds Patriots on-demand content in New England

by Jeff Chabot on October 2, 2009

Verizon’s FiOS TV service has added exclusive New England Patriots programming to its on-demand library. The programming will be available exclusively to its customers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island (FiOS is not offered in other New England states).

Patriots fans will get access to news conferences, locker room interviews, the weekly WEEI radio interview with Bill Belichick, Patriots practices, cheerleader bios and more.

The content is also available on the Patriots web site, but Verizon rep Ellen Corcoran says watching it on FiOS on a big screen HDTV “is an amazing experience.”

Verizon’s video-on-demand service is branded FiOS Local Zone, which provides regional programming such as local community events, auto racing, and college sports. FiOS1 Local Zone is where you can find the Patriots content. (Go to on-demand on your remote, and scroll or search for local zone.)

As part of the launch of Patriots programming, Verizon is giving away a VIP package to the Nov. 22 rematch with the New York Jets. You can enter to win at patriots.com/gridironchallenge before Nov. 8.
