Comcast launches 17 HD channels in MA areas

by Jeff Chabot on October 19, 2009

Comcast has launched 17 new high-definition (HD) channels in parts of Massachusetts, including Ashland, Bellingham, Blackstone, Franklin, Holliston, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Marlborough, Medway, Mendon, Milford, Millis and Plainville.

This news comes from The Milford Daily News who also reported Comcast is digitizing channels 24 through 69 to make room for even more HD channels as part of their “World of More” upgrade.

The upgrade involves converting their current network to fiber-optic, which will happen in more Massachusetts communities over the next year. Digital equipment is provided to the customers free-of-charge.
