Comcast adds 47 HD channels in San Francisco area

Comcast has added 47 new HD channels in the San Francisco area, that according to the San Francisco Chronicle. In total, the cable provider added 75 channels which includes 13 Spanish language and 14 premium international channels.

The additions are effective today in most Bay Areas including San Jose, Oakland, Fremont and Richmond. Other Comcast market areas are expected to receive upgrades by the end of the year.

You may see some channel changes in the lineup today. This is due to the reallocation of bandwidth formally used by analog signals.
