HDNet to host Frans Ferdinand concert in HD

hdnetIf you are a Frans Ferdinand fan you won’t want to miss a premiere HD broadcast of the Scottish band’s live performance at the Big Gig London O2 Arena in February ‘09. The concert will feature hits from their first release such as “Michael,” “Matinee” and “Take Me Out,” as well as newer songs Ulysses” and “No You Girls.”

Frans Ferdinand is made up of Paul Thomson (drums), Alex Kapranos (lead vocals and guitar), Nick McCarthy (rhythm guitar, keyboards) and Bob Hardy (bass guitar). The band was formed in 2002 in Scotland and records on the indie Domino label.

The high-definition broadcast from HDNet is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 20 at 8:00 PM ET.
