Charter subscribers to get Epix HD

by Jeff Chabot on February 4, 2010

epix_logo_smIf you subscribe to Charter Communications you’ll soon be able to get Epix HD, a premium movie channel launched in Oct. ‘09 by Viacom Inc., its Paramount Pictures unit, MGM and Lionsgate. Epix is currently running films like Star Trek, GI Joe, and Paranormal Activity, as well as comedy and concert programming.

Epix also provides access to films online, which is included in the subscription charge of $9.99 a month.

“Video consumption is evolving, and our customers want access to the best movies and entertainment, when they want it and on multiple platforms,” said Rich DiGeronimo, Charter’s Vice President of Product Management.
While agreement terms were not disclosed, the channel is expected to launch in May 2010.
